WE LIVE FOR OUR PROJECTS
The projects of ZAYP extend beyond local communities; it also focuses on cultivating meaningful relationships between volunteers and the communities in Zanzibar.
What we achieved so far

Tour Guide Development
We provided two months of tour guiding skills training to empower young people with opportunities in the tourism sector, including employment with tour companies in Zanzibar.

ZAYP Organic Farm
Our organic farm included a variety of crops, such as papaya, banana, cucumber, bell peppers, okra, chili, and pumpkin.

Supporting Children
We assisted orphans and street children by providing them with school uniforms and decorated handbags.

Mangrove, Crab, and Fish Conservation
We were dedicated to planting new mangroves and conserving crab and fish populations to promote their growth and sustainability.

Assisting Needy Families
We visited families in poverty condition and provided them with essential clothing supplies

Establishing a Community School
We successfully built a community school to enhance educational opportunities for local residents.
What we are working on

Nursery School
Our nursery school offers scholarships to orphans and street children, providing them with an opportunity to build a better future.

Language and Life Motivation Classes
We offer English, German, and French classes to help communities improve their global communication skills. Additionally, we offer a Swahili class for foreigners. On top of that, our life motivation classes aim to instil hope and positivity in youth's lives.

Tour Guide Development Programs
We provide tour guiding training in different phases to equip participants with the skills needed to become self-employed in the tourism sector in Zanzibar. This helps reduce the high rate of unemployment among young people in the country.

ZAYP Environmental programs
We are engaged in cleaning the surrounding areas to protect the community from epidemic diseases. We also collaborate with various organizations (both government and private) to maintain cleanliness in areas that generate large amounts of waste, including markets, beaches, dumping sites, and similar places.

Technical Skills Classes
Our technical skills classes cover various skills, including tailoring (sewing), embroidery, piko, henna painting, and many more. These classes are specifically designed to empower women in rural communities.
What we will do
Community Primary School Expansion
We have plans to expand our community primary school with additional classes to accommodate more primary students.
Community Hospital
Our community hospital is dedicated to providing free healthcare services to the community, with a special focus on women, children, and the elderly.
Women Empowerment Business Programs (Projects)
We offer a range of programs tailored to women’s empowerment, including sewing, pottery, embroidery, knitting, painting, and more.
Small College
Our small college aims to provide education in business skills, computer training, languages, environmental conservation, technical skills, and cultural exchange experiences.
Orphanage House
We have established an orphanage to provide a home for children without parents, who often face challenging circumstances. Our goal is to support their dreams and aspirations.
Chicken Farm
We operate a chicken farm to create employment opportunities for young people. We supply chicken meat and eggs to various catering companies, including hotels.
ZAYP Football Academy
Our football academy is dedicated to improving the sport of football in Zanzibar by offering young people more opportunities to enhance their football skills.
